Following the Easter and Sallah celebrations, the Nigerian polo circle is gearing up to resume its tour with the prestigious Ibadan Polo fiesta and international UNICEF Charity Shield tournaments topping the list of box office events scheduled for the months of May and June.
Confirming this in an exclusive chat with Polo Royals, Ibadan Polo Chairman Koyinsola Owoeye said the arrangements are up to snuff to ensure that the 2022 Ibadan Polo Fiesta will remain an era that will remain in the memory of all participants for a long time.
The tournament well known for its exciting atmosphere and relaxed setting is set to gallop from April 10 to May 16, 2022 and thrills until May 22, 2022 in the sprawling city of the ancient kingdom of Oyo.
Polo Royals can also report that the national polo tour will move north with the cosmopolitan city of Kaduna rolling out the red carpet for this year’s UNICEF Charity Shield Polo Tournament.
Revered as the biggest charity polo tournament in the country, the Kaduna Charity event which traditionally attracts a full house of top teams is set to gallop from the last weekend of May and peak on the first weekend of June 2022.
The international event will be hosted by the premier Fifth Chukker & Country Resort in Kaduna.
